- Am I charged for requests that fail?Retired Line Code ids are never billed. Requests refused before reaching the model don't produce usage; check Logs for anything else.FAQ
- Can I buy credits for my whole team?Yes. Team members use the team owner's credits, so the owner tops up once for everyone.FAQ
- Can I get a refund for unused credits?Under the Terms, unused purchased credits can be refunded within 14 days; used credits can't. Purchases above $800 are refunded automatically.FAQ
- Can I set a spending cap on the Model API?Your credit balance is the cap: calls stop at 402 when it's empty. Teams can set monthly limits per member.FAQ
- Can I use the Model API on the Free plan?Yes. The Model API works on every plan, Free included, as long as you have credits.FAQ
- Do Model API credits expire?The developer docs say purchased credits don't expire. The Terms of Service set out the full conditions for credits.FAQ
- Does calling GET /v1/models cost anything?No. It needs no key and uses no model tokens, so there's nothing to bill.FAQ

- Is the Model API cheaper on a bigger plan?No. Every model on every plan, at the model's price. Plans change app usage, not API prices.FAQ
- What is the $5 free credit?Every new Clatter Labs account gets $5 of credit once, usable on the Model API and Agent API.FAQ
- What's the smallest and largest credit top-up?From $1 to $800 per purchase. A purchase above $800 isn't credited and is refunded.Reference
