I had the old Model API trial. What happened to it?

On Oct 29, 2026 the separate $5 Model API trial (and the earlier $20 grant) were replaced by $5 of free credit for every new account. If your account received the earlier one-time Model API trial, what's left of it is spent first on Model API calls. After that, calls use your regular credits.

The 402 out_of_credits error means both the trial and your credit balance are used up.
