Can I set a spending cap on the Model API?

Credits are prepaid, so your balance is the cap: when it reaches zero, calls answer 402 out_of_credits. To limit spend, top up only what you're willing to spend.

On a team, the owner can set a daily quota and a monthly spending limit per member in Console › Team; past those, the member's calls answer 429 team_daily_quota_reached or team_spend_limit_reached.

Good to know#

• Each key has its own limit: 10, 30 (default), 60 or 120 requests per minute. Rate limits
• Every response has an X-Request-Id; log it so a request can be found later. Why log it
