How do I estimate my monthly Model API cost?

monthly cost ≈ requests × (avg input tokens × input price + avg output tokens × output price) / 1,000,000

Example: 100,000 requests a month on Flash, 800 input and 200 output tokens each:

• Input: 100,000 × 800 × $1.60 / 1M = $128.00
• Output: 100,000 × 200 × $3.40 / 1M = $68.00
• Total ≈ $196.00

Measure real averages from usage on a sample of your traffic; Max and Heavy usually write more output tokens than Flash because of reasoning. More examples: cost examples.
