What are the Model API rate limits?
Each API key has its own limit, chosen when you create it: 10, 30 (default), 60 or 120 requests per minute.
| Header | Meaning |
|---|---|
X-RateLimit-Limit | The key's requests per minute |
X-RateLimit-Remaining | Requests left in the current window |
Retry-After | On 429: seconds to wait |
Going over answers 429 rate_limited. There's no separate tokens-per-minute limit documented for the Model API; your credit balance is the spending limit. See Rate limits.
