The installer says "checksum mismatch". What should I do?

TroubleshootingUpdated

"Checksum mismatch" means the file that arrived isn't byte-for-byte the official release. Line protects you by installing nothing.

Common causes#

  • A download cut off partway (unstable connection).
  • A proxy, firewall or "web filter" changed the file.
  • Rarely, a release being published at that moment.

What to do#

  1. Wait a minute and run the installer again.
  2. Try another network (for example a phone hotspot) to rule out a proxy.
  3. Make sure you used the exact official command and host: install.clatterlabs.xyz.
  4. If it keeps happening, check status.clatterlabs.com and email support@clatterlabs.com with the full message and your OS.

line update does the same check: "checksum mismatch for the downloaded binary …; not updating".
