Can I run Line CLI from a USB drive or portable folder?
Yes, with two environment variables:
curl -fsSL https://install.clatterlabs.xyz/line | LINE_INSTALL_DIR=/media/usb/line/bin LINE_NO_MODIFY_PATH=1 sh
export LINE_CONFIG_DIR=/media/usb/line/config
/media/usb/line/bin/line login
LINE_INSTALL_DIRputs the binary on the drive.LINE_CONFIG_DIRkeeps sign-in, settings and sessions on the drive.
Skills, plugins and MCP config still live in ~/.line on each computer. Protect the drive: anyone with the config folder can use your sign-in, so run line logout if it's lost. Binaries are per operating system and CPU, so a Linux build won't run on Windows.
