How do I install Line CLI into a different folder?
Set LINE_INSTALL_DIR:
curl -fsSL https://install.clatterlabs.xyz/line | LINE_INSTALL_DIR="$HOME/bin" sh
$env:LINE_INSTALL_DIR = 'D:\tools\line'; irm https://install.clatterlabs.xyz/line.ps1 | iex
The installer creates the folder if needed and adds it to your PATH (unless it's already there).
Notes#
line updatereplaces the binary wherever it's installed, so you need write access to that folder.- Your settings, sign-in and sessions don't move: they stay in
~/.config/line. - Skills, plugins and MCP config stay in
~/.line.
