What do Clatter Labs API errors look like?
Agent API:
{ "error": { "code": "out_of_credits", "message": "You're out of Clatter Labs credits. ..." } }
Model API uses the OpenAI shape and every response has an X-Request-Id header:
{ "error": { "message": "...", "type": "...", "code": "invalid_api_key", "param": null } }
Branch your code on code, not on message; messages can change wording. Limit and suspension errors also carry resets_at and a Retry-After header.
Good to know#
- Every API request sends your key and your Account ID (
X-Clatter-Account: CL-…); a key alone is refused. - A new key's secret is shown only once. Clatter Labs stores only a hash, so a lost key can't be recovered.
- An account can hold up to 25 API keys; the managed Console Playground key doesn't count.
