How do I create an API key?

How-toUpdated
  1. Open Console › API keys.
  2. Select Create API key.
  3. Name — something that tells you where it's used, like "CI pipeline" or "Production backend" (up to 64 characters).
  4. Permissions — choose a preset: Agent API, Model API, Code Buckets, Read only or Full access. Select Customize to tick individual permissions.
  5. Rate limit — 10, 30, 60 or 120 requests per minute (30 is the default).
  6. Expires — 30 days, 90 days (the default), 1 year, or Never.
  7. Select Create key.
  8. Copy the key now. It's shown only once. The dialog also shows a ready-to-run snippet that includes your Account ID.
  9. Select Done.

The new key appears in the list as Active, with its access, rate limit and expiry.

Before you start#

  • You can have up to 25 active keys.
  • Pick at least one permission; the Create key button stays disabled until you do.
