Can Clatter Labs support see or recover my API key?

FAQUpdated

No. Clatter Labs stores only a keyed hash of each key, so the full key doesn't exist anywhere on Clatter Labs' side after you close the "Key created" dialog. Support can't read it, send it to you or recover it.

That's also why you should never send a key to support or anyone else. If someone asks for your key, it isn't Clatter Labs. When you need help with a key, give its name and the hint shown in the keys list, plus your Account ID.

Good to know#

  • Each key has its own rate limit: 10, 30 (default), 60 or 120 requests per minute.
  • Keys can expire after 30 days, 90 days (default), 1 year, or never.
