When will I be asked for my two-factor code?

After you turn it on, your authenticator code is required on every sign-in and for sensitive actions, such as:

• downloading your data;
• deleting your account;
• turning off two-factor authentication.

For sensitive actions you may also be asked to have signed in recently. If you see "For your security, sign out and sign back in, then come back here within 10 minutes," do exactly that.
