How do I stop one end user from getting my whole account suspended?

How-toUpdated

Because the key owner is responsible for all text sent with its keys, one abusive end user can lead to a warning and then a 24-hour suspension of your whole account.

  1. Know who sent what. Log your own user id with each request (and the X-Request-Id).
  2. Filter input before calling the API: block or rephrase messages that insult or curse at the assistant.
  3. Act on the first warning. When x-clatter-notice: abuse_warning appears, suspend or rate-limit that end user right away.
  4. Separate keys don't isolate strikes: strikes are per account, not per key.

See Abuse policy.

  • New accounts get $5 of free credit; top up from $1 to $800 per purchase in Console › Billing › Credits. Billing
  • Keep keys on your server, never in a browser or mobile app. Why
  • Base URL: https://api.gateway.clatterlabs.xyz/v1, with Authorization: Bearer clsk_... and X-Clatter-Account: CL-... on every call. Quick reference
