What does 404 not_supported mean?

TroubleshootingUpdated

You called an endpoint the Model API doesn't have. It supports GET /v1/models and POST /v1/chat/completions only.

Code: not_supported · HTTP status: 404

Embeddings, images, audio, files and the Responses API aren't available.

Common causes#

  • a library that calls /v1/responses or /v1/embeddings by default
  • a wrong path such as /v1/completions

How to fix it#

  1. Switch your library to the Chat Completions API.
  2. Check the path ends in /v1/chat/completions and the base URL is https://api.gateway.clatterlabs.xyz/v1.

Should my code retry?#

Not retryable.

The error body uses the OpenAI shape, so OpenAI SDKs raise it as an exception you can catch:

{"error": {"message": "...", "type": "...", "code": "not_supported", "param": null}}

Every response also carries an X-Request-Id. Keep it in your logs; it's the quickest way for support to find a request.

See the full list in the Model API reference.

Good to know#

  • Model ids: supercosmos-flash, supercosmos-max, supercosmos-heavy (SuperCosmos 1.1). Which to call
  • Each key has its own limit: 10, 30 (default), 60 or 120 requests per minute. Rate limits
  • New accounts get $5 of free credit; top up from $1 to $800 per purchase in Console › Billing › Credits. Billing
