Where is Line CLI installed on my computer?
| What | Where |
|---|---|
The line program | ~/.line/bin/line (Windows %USERPROFILE%\.line\bin\line.exe), unless you set LINE_INSTALL_DIR |
| Sign-in | ~/.config/line/auth.json |
| Settings | ~/.config/line/settings.json |
| Saved sessions | ~/.config/line/sessions/ |
| Prompt history | ~/.config/line/history.jsonl |
| Audit log | ~/.config/line/audit/<date>.jsonl |
| Your skills, plugins, sub-agents | ~/.line/skills/, ~/.line/plugins/, ~/.line/agents/ |
| Your MCP servers and global instructions | ~/.line/mcp.json, ~/.line/LINE.md |
On macOS and Linux, Line keeps ~/.config/line private (only your user can read it). line status prints the config folder it's using.
The config folder can be moved with the LINE_CONFIG_DIR environment variable.
