My key works with curl but not in my app. Why?

1. Account ID header missing → 401 missing_account_id.
2. Environment variable not loaded where the app runs.
3. Whitespace or quotes pasted into the secret.
4. Different key or account in the app's config → account_mismatch.
5. Wrong base URL: Model API https://api.gateway.clatterlabs.xyz/v1, Agent API https://api.agent.clatterlabs.xyz.

Log the HTTP status and code (never the key).

Good to know#

• A private window rules out extensions and old cached data.
• Every API request sends your key and your Account ID (X-Clatter-Account: CL-…); a key alone is refused.
• A new key's secret is shown only once. Clatter Labs stores only a hash, so a lost key can't be recovered.
