What should I do about model_overloaded, model_unavailable or model_timeout?

These Model API errors (502/503/504) are temporary. Retry with exponential backoff and honour Retry-After. A stream that fails midway sends data: {"error": ...} then data: [DONE]; treat it as a failed call. If it lasts more than a few minutes, check status.clatterlabs.com.

Good to know#

• Branch your code on the error code, not the message.
• When asking support about an error, send the key's name, never the key.
• Every API request sends your key and your Account ID (X-Clatter-Account: CL-…); a key alone is refused.
