How do I explain Clatter Labs costs to my parents?

You can say something like this:

• "The basic plan is free. I can use the coding tools a set amount each month."
• "If I want more, there are monthly plans from $15. They renew each month until cancelled, and can be cancelled any time."
• "Credits are prepaid, like a gift card. When they're used up, things just stop. There's no bill afterwards."
• "Payments go through Gumroad, a well-known online store, and the Terms say a parent or guardian has to make purchases for anyone under 18."

The Console's Billing page shows exactly what's been bought and spent.

• New accounts get $5 of free credit once for the Model API and Agent API.
