Can I switch tiers in the middle of a conversation?
Yes. All tiers share the same window and understand the same messages.
- Line CLI: run
/effort max(orflash,heavy,auto) any time. - Model API: send the next request with a different model id and the same
messages. - Agent API: the tier is set per run.
A common pattern: chat on Flash, then switch to Max for one hard step, then back.

- Every tier shares the same 1M-token context window (1,048,576 tokens). Context window
