How do I know when to move up a tier?

Signs it's time to go from Flash to Max, or Max to Heavy:

• the task keeps failing its own checks (tests, builds),
• it needs a plan across several files,
• answers miss the point of what you asked,
• in an agent, it takes many more steps than it should.

And move down when the higher tier isn't making a visible difference: you're paying for thinking you don't need.

• Insulting or cursing at the assistant earns a warning, then a 24-hour pause on a second strike within 30 days. Abuse policy
