Are Flash, Max and Heavy different models?

No. They're the same model (SuperCosmos 1.1, 550B parameters, 55B active) with the same 1M-token window. Each tier is tuned with its own instructions and differs in how long it thinks. So they know the same things; Max and Heavy just reason more before answering.
