What does "tuned for coding-agent work" mean?

ExplainerUpdated

SuperCosmos is tuned to work like a careful coding agent. Each tier has its own instructions built around five habits:

  1. Look before changing: read the code before editing it.
  2. Use tools carefully: run commands and edits deliberately.
  3. Plan bigger jobs: break larger tasks into steps.
  4. Verify before reporting: check results instead of assuming they worked.
  5. Answer briefly: no padding.

You'll notice these most in Line CLI and the Agent API, where it works with real tools. They help in plain chat too: you get shorter, checked answers.

Good to know#

  • Clatter Labs publishes its measurements of honesty, coding, efficiency and purity. Benchmark 2 results
  • SuperCosmos reads text only; it doesn't take image input. What it can't do
  • Insulting or cursing at the assistant earns a warning, then a 24-hour pause on a second strike within 30 days. Abuse policy
