How should I write a system prompt for SuperCosmos?

How-toUpdated

A good system prompt is short and concrete:

You are a support assistant for an online bike shop.
Audience: customers, not mechanics. Use plain words.
Format: at most 4 sentences. Use a list for steps.
If you're not sure, say so and suggest contacting the shop.
  • Put stable rules in the system prompt and the task in the user message.
  • Don't ask it to pretend certainty or to praise everything; it's built to stay honest and will keep doing that.
  • On the Model API, every request also includes a short Clatter Labs instruction block.
