Why does Clatter Labs collect my IP address?

Your IP address, and an approximate location derived from it, are used to:

• keep your account secure and send new-device sign-in alerts;
• detect abuse, bots and attacks;
• apply restrictions for countries where Clatter Labs isn't offered;
• operate and debug the service (request logs).

Request logs are kept for up to 90 days and security logs for up to 12 months (Privacy Policy, Section 28).
