My stream stopped without data: [DONE]. What happened?

TroubleshootingUpdated

A complete stream always ends with data: [DONE], and a failure inside the stream sends an error event first. If neither arrived, the connection closed early: a network drop, a client timeout, or a proxy that cut long connections.

  1. Treat the partial text as incomplete.
  2. Retry the request.
  3. Raise your client or proxy timeout; long Heavy replies can take a while.
  4. If it happens often, note the X-Request-Id and times and contact support.
