How do I use Line CLI in GitHub Actions or another CI system?

How-toUpdated

A typical step:

curl -fsSL https://install.clatterlabs.xyz/line | LINE_NO_MODIFY_PATH=1 sh
export PATH="$HOME/.line/bin:$PATH"
line -p "Review the diff in this PR for bugs. Don't edit files." \
  --permission-mode dont-ask --output-format json --max-turns 30 > review.json

Tips#

  • --permission-mode dont-ask (or plan) keeps a review read-only; add --allowed-tools for what it may run.
  • --max-turns and --max-budget-usd cap the run.
  • --sandbox on on Linux runners confines writes.
  • Check the exit code (0, 1, 2, 130).
  • Line needs a signed-in Clatter Labs account. Device sign-in needs a person to confirm a code, so plan how the runner gets a sign-in and keep it secret. Usage counts toward that account's plan.
