Can I run Line CLI on a schedule?

How-toUpdated

Yes. On a machine where Line is signed in, call print mode from your scheduler:

0 7 * * 1 cd /srv/repo && /home/me/.line/bin/line -p "List outdated dependencies and write a short report to reports/deps.md" --permission-mode accept-edits --max-turns 20 --output-format json >> /var/log/line-deps.log 2>&1

Tips#

  • Use the full path to line; schedulers often have a minimal PATH.
  • Choose permissions carefully: dont-ask for read-only jobs, accept-edits to allow file changes, --allowed-tools for specific commands.
  • Set --max-turns and --max-budget-usd.
  • Usage counts toward the signed-in account's plan.
