What are resets_at and Retry-After in limit errors?

ReferenceUpdated
  • resets_at — in the error body, an ISO 8601 UTC time like 2026-11-03T14:05:00.000Z.
  • Retry-After — a header with seconds to wait.

Use either to schedule a retry. Convert resets_at to your users' local time before showing it.

Good to know#

  • 402 out_of_credits means credits, not plan limits.
  • Never retry limit errors in a tight loop.
  • Plans cover app usage (Line CLI, Cosmos Agent, Telegram); credits pay for the Model API and Agent API on every plan.
