What does Line CLI do, in simple words?
Line CLI is a helper that lives inside the black text window on your computer (the "terminal"). You type what you want, like "make the button blue" or "find why this test fails", and Line looks at your code and does the work for you.
How it stays safe#
Line is careful. Before it changes a file or runs a command, it asks you first. You read what it wants to do and press yes or no. You are always the boss.
What you need#
- A computer with Windows, macOS or Linux.
- A free Clatter Labs account to sign in.
- A folder with a project in it (even a tiny one is fine).
A first try#
- Install Line with one command (see the install articles for your computer).
- Type
line loginand sign in. - Go to your project folder and type
line. - Ask: "What does this project do?"
Line reads the files and explains them. Nothing changes unless you say so.
If you are under 18, check the age rules in the Terms of Service: you must be at least 13, and you may need a parent or guardian's permission.
