How does /compact work in Line CLI?
/compact asks SuperCosmos Flash to summarize the session (the goal, decisions, files changed, commands that matter, current state and next steps), then continues with that summary instead of the full history.
Focus the summary#
Add words after it: /compact keep the details about the database migration.
Automatic compaction#
Line compacts by itself at about 80% of the context window. It clears old tool output first and summarizes only if needed, and re-attaches your to-do plan and recently used files afterwards.
"Nothing to compact yet." means the conversation is too short. A failure shows "Compact failed: …"; your conversation is unchanged.
