Line CLI says the context is full or older steps are clipped

When the conversation nears the window, /context may say "Older steps are clipped on send; run /compact."

/compact summarizes the session.
/new starts fresh (the old session stays saved).
Many MCP servers or plugins add tool definitions on every step; disable ones you don't need.
Ask the agent to read only the parts of big files it needs.
