What if I need more than 120 requests per minute?

FAQUpdated

The highest rate limit you can pick for a single key is 120 requests per minute. Ways to get more done:

  • Separate keys per service. Each key has its own limit, so splitting traffic across services spreads the load.
  • Stream instead of polling. One Agent API event stream replaces many status checks and counts only once.
  • Back off properly on 429 using Retry-After.

Note that the Agent API also allows only 5 runs in progress per account, whatever the rate limit.

If you have a real need for more, email support@clatterlabs.com and describe your use.

Good to know#

  • Keys can expire after 30 days, 90 days (default), 1 year, or never.
  • Revoking is immediate and permanent: requests fail with 401 invalid_api_key.
