What does "Last used" mean in the API keys list?
Last used shows how long ago the key made its most recent request. A key that has never been used shows Never.
Handy uses#
- Spot unused keys — a key that says Never or hasn't been used for months is a good candidate to revoke.
- Check a rotation — after switching your app to a new key, the old key's Last used should stop moving.
- Spot surprises — if a key you thought was retired shows recent use, something still uses it. Check Logs (it has a Key column) to see what.
The list also shows Created (when the key was made) and Status (Active, Expired or Revoked).
Good to know#
- Each key has its own rate limit: 10, 30 (default), 60 or 120 requests per minute.
- Keys can expire after 30 days, 90 days (default), 1 year, or never.
