Can I change a key's permissions or rate limit after creating it?

Permissions and the rate limit are chosen when you create a key. To change them:

1. Create a new key with the permissions and rate limit you want.
2. Swap it into your app.
3. Revoke the old key.

Tip#

Name keys after their job and settings, like "Dashboard (read, 10 rpm)", so it's obvious which to replace.
