My requests fail with a strange HTML page or a 403 that isn't JSON. Why?

Agent API errors are always JSON with an error.code. If you get an HTML page or a response without that shape, something between you and the API answered instead:

• A company proxy or firewall.
• A security filter that dislikes unusual clients or user agents.
• A captive portal on public Wi-Fi.

Try#

• The same request with cURL from another network.
• Setting a normal User-Agent header in your HTTP client.
• Asking your network team to allow api.agent.clatterlabs.xyz.

If it still fails, email support with the full response headers and the time.
