My stream works locally but not behind our company proxy. Why?
Server-sent events need a connection that stays open and delivers data as it arrives. Some corporate proxies, load balancers and serverless platforms:
- Buffer the response, so events arrive in bursts or only at the end.
- Close idle connections after a short time.
Fixes#
- Turn off response buffering for this route, or call the API from a service that allows streaming.
- Treat any disconnect like a
timeout: reconnect with?after=N. - If streaming isn't possible, poll
GET /v1/runs/{id}every 2 seconds or more.
