Can I create one API key per customer?
An account holds up to 25 keys, so one key per customer works only for a handful. For more, keep customer separation in your own system: log your customer id with each request (and the X-Request-Id), and enforce per-customer limits in your backend. Remember strikes under the Abuse policy are per account, not per key.
Good to know#
- Your key's account is responsible for your end users' text under the Abuse policy. What it means for apps
- Keep keys on your server, never in a browser or mobile app. Why
- New accounts get $5 of free credit; top up from $1 to $800 per purchase in Console › Billing › Credits. Billing
