How do I debug a failing request with cURL?
curl -v https://api.gateway.clatterlabs.xyz/v1/chat/completions \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $CLATTER_API_KEY" \
-H "X-Clatter-Account: $CLATTER_ACCOUNT_ID" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"model": "supercosmos-flash", "messages": [{"role": "user", "content": "ping"}]}'
-v shows the exact headers sent (check Authorization and X-Clatter-Account are there) and the response status and headers (x-request-id, retry-after). The verbose output contains your key: remove it before sharing anything.
Good to know#
- If calls fail unexpectedly, check status.clatterlabs.com before debugging further.
- Each key has its own limit: 10, 30 (default), 60 or 120 requests per minute. Rate limits
- Your key's account is responsible for your end users' text under the Abuse policy. What it means for apps
