Which programming languages does Line CLI work with?

Line works with any programming language whose files are text. It reads, searches and edits files, and runs the tools your project already uses.

Things that help Line in any language#

• diagnostics runs your project's own type checker, compiler or linter (for example cargo check, tsc --noEmit, go vet or Python checks), detected from the project.
• Verification: before finishing, Line can run your tests (npm test, cargo test, go test, pytest), a verify_command you set, or the type checker.
• repo_map builds a ranked outline of your code with tree-sitter.
• notebook_edit edits Jupyter notebook cells.

Human languages#

You can write to Line in English, Arabic or another language. Arabic text is laid out right-to-left natively in the terminal (see /rtl).
