How do I get my Editor files out of my browser?
Your projects are kept in the local storage of the browser you used with Clatter Editor. To get them out you need the same browser, on the same device, with the same browser profile.
Before you start#
- Don't clear your browsing data or site data for editor.clatterlabs.com. That would erase the files for good.
- Use the browser you actually used for the editor. Files in Chrome are not visible from Firefox, and a different browser profile won't have them either.
Steps#
- Open editor.clatterlabs.com in that browser. You'll see the "no longer available" notice; that's expected.
- Open your browser's developer tools and find the storage section (often called Application or Storage), then Local Storage for editor.clatterlabs.com.
- Entries starting with
cloud-ide:hold your projects, files and settings. Copy their values into a text file and save it somewhere safe.
If this sounds too technical, that's fine: contact support, say which browser and device you used, and a person will guide you step by step. Nothing is sent to Clatter Labs while you do this; the data stays on your computer.
