What happens to my public links if I run out of monthly tokens?
When the month's tokens are used up, Code Buckets requests answer 402 quota_exceeded until the next UTC month. Public link traffic is counted in your tokens, so heavy public use contributes to reaching that point.
To stay ahead:

storage.public_filesinGET /v1/usage. - Use image links (cached for a year in browsers and CDNs) for site images.
