I get 409 backup_limit when creating a backup. What now?

TroubleshootingUpdated

409 backup_limit means your account's backup is already used. The error includes existing_backup_id.

Choose one:

  • Replace it: send {"name": "...", "replace": true}. A backup.replaced event is recorded.
  • Delete it first: DELETE /v1/backups/{backup_id}, then create the new one.

The backup slot is per account, so the existing backup may belong to a different bucket. Check before replacing.
