Does Code Buckets keep versions of my files?

FAQUpdated

Code Buckets doesn't publish a per-file versioning feature like some storage services. What you do get:

  • Code tree versions: every unpacked zip creates a new tree with its own ref. Older refs stay readable (?ref=), and code.updated events record each one.
  • Backups: capture a bucket's tree and stored files, and restore them as a new version.
  • New uploads are new objects: uploading a file again doesn't overwrite the old object.

What we recommend#

Keep the refs you care about, take a backup before big changes, and keep your own copies of important releases.
