How do usage windows work on paid plans?

Paid plans have a rolling usage window, a short period with its own share of usage.

• It starts with your first request after the previous window ended.
• It lasts your plan's window length: 5.5 h (Developer, Plus), 5 h (Pro), 2 h (Max), 1.5 h (Ultra).
• When it ends, usage for the window is back to 0%, and the next window starts with your next request.
• If you use the window's share before it ends, new app requests answer 429 window_limit_reached until it resets.

Windows let you use a lot in a burst while spreading heavy use across the day. The weekly limit still applies on top.

Good to know#

• Billing shows each limit as % used with its reset time.
• The Free allowance resets on the 1st of every month, UTC.
