Which programming languages and tools can Cosmos work with?

FAQUpdated

Cosmos works in a Linux terminal on your account's cloud computer, where it can install packages and run builds and tests. In practice that means it can work with the languages and tools you'd normally install on a Linux machine, such as Python or Node.js.

Get the best results#

  • Name the stack in your instructions: "Use Node 20 and Express", "Use Python with pytest".
  • Say how to verify: "Run the tests and show me the output."
  • Name files and folders you care about.

Things to keep in mind#

  • Cosmos doesn't have access to your local machine, private package registries or internal networks unless you connect them to your account.
  • Don't paste secrets into input. Connect services to your account instead.
