Does Cosmos run anything on my own computer?
No. Every Agent API run works on your account's cloud computer, which lives on Clatter Labs infrastructure. Nothing is installed on, or executed on, the machine that sent the request.
What this means for you#
- Your files stay where they are. Cosmos can't read your laptop's disk. If it needs code, put it in the instructions (up to 20,000 characters), ask it to fetch a public repository or page, or keep the code in a Cloud Repo on your account.
- Results come back over the API. Read
output, and ask Cosmos to save important files as outputs so they appear in the run'sfiles. - Work can stay in the cloud between runs. Cloud Repos, hosting and storage on the cloud computer keep code and data for later runs.
Want an agent on your own machine?#
Line CLI is Clatter Labs' terminal coding agent. Its local tools only touch your files when you approve them.
