What is the long-context price (1.5× above 262K tokens)?
When a single request's prompt is over 262K tokens, its whole input (not just the part above 262K) is billed at 1.5× the tier's input price. Output prices don't change.
| Tier | Normal input / 1M | Long-context input / 1M |
|---|---|---|
| Flash | $1.60 | $2.40 |
| Max | $1.80 | $2.70 |
| Heavy | $2.00 | $3.00 |
Example: a 300,000-token prompt on Flash costs 300,000 × $2.40 / 1M = $0.72 for input, instead of $0.48.
Tip: if you can trim a prompt to under 262K tokens, you save a third on input.
