What temperature should I use with SuperCosmos?
temperature accepts 0 to 2. A rough guide:
| Task | Try |
|---|---|
| Code, data extraction, classification | 0 to 0.3 |
| Everyday chat and explanations | default (leave it out) or around 0.7 |
| Brainstorming names, stories | 1.0 to 1.3 |
Very high values make answers wander. Adjust temperature or top_p, not both. If you need repeatable outputs for tests, add a seed as well.
