Do presence_penalty and frequency_penalty work?

Yes, both are accepted and passed to the model. They nudge it away from repeating itself: presence_penalty discourages reusing topics or words that have appeared at all, frequency_penalty discourages words in proportion to how often they appeared. Start with small values and only add them if you actually see repetition.
