Can Line CLI delete my files?

FAQUpdated

Yes, if you allow it. Line has a delete_file tool and can run shell commands like rm. In ask mode, both wait for your approval; in accept edits mode, file deletions run without asking but shell commands still ask; in auto mode, nothing asks.

  • Files deleted with Line's file tools are checkpointed: /undo or /rewind brings them back.
  • Files deleted by shell commands aren't tracked.

To prevent deletions, add deny rules: "deny": ["bash(rm *)", "delete_file"].
